#73: I could care less

David Mitchell tackles this one… literally! No, not literally. Shame about his fondness of the queen. It is great to see him admit to an inconvenient truth for any British wordsmith. That is, that some Americanisms - (not -izms) - are just as sensible or sometimes better than how an anglophile insists on saying them. “I could care less” is not to be ignored, though, as it means the opposite of its intended meaning.
